No Loopholes—No Exceptions!
The shocking gang rape recently exposed at Cornell University has brought to light more than just the repugnant behavior of the alleged rapists—it has also exposed a disturbing loophole in the law.
And Heaven has something to say about it.
Under New York law, a person can be considered incapable of giving consent due to mental incapacitation when an intoxicating substance was administered to them without their consent—such as when someone is secretly drugged.
But when a sexual assault victim becomes severely intoxicated or incapacitated after voluntarily consuming alcohol or drugs, that circumstance may not meet the same legal standard of incapacity for a first-degree rape charge.
God and Jesus are outraged.
Their perspective is clear: anyone who rapes another person, under any circumstances, should be held accountable for their crime to the full extent of the law—with no loopholes and no exceptions.
New York and other states maintain legal distinctions surrounding voluntary and involuntary intoxication that can affect how sexual assault cases are prosecuted. These laws need to be changed wherever they prevent victims from receiving justice.
God said New York’s decision to maintain such a convoluted system ultimately hurts victims further by potentially denying them the justice, closure, and healing that an appropriate conviction and sentence can help provide.
They said to open your eyes and see the truth for what it is. Rape is rape, regardless of how a victim became intoxicated or incapacitated.
They also said rapists need to be called out for what they are doing: sexually violating and preying upon someone in a vulnerable state when they could have shown compassion and helped that person instead.
If these loopholes stay in place, more perverted and possessed sociopaths are going to get away with heinous acts of harming others.
Close the loophole now—so justice can prevail and perpetrators can be stopped. ⚖️
