Justice for Renee—Stop ICE

The tragic, senseless murder of Renee Goode, MN—shot and killed by an aggressive ICE agent who lacked self-control and acted far outside the bounds of his authority—was nothing short of pure evil. He had the choice to step back—and he should have, given that he had no proof she broke any law and posed no threat to him. Yet he chose to overpower her using violence.

In a shameless display of arrogance and aggression, the agent used brute force to “win” a power struggle because he could not tolerate losing control. His fragile, overinflated ego could not handle losing to a woman who stood up to him. Period.

Instead of de-escalating—by stepping back, taking her license plate, and following up appropriately—he behaved like the biggest bully on an elementary school playground, choosing revenge and domination because he couldn’t accept being challenged or told he was wrong.

Renee was clearly trying to remove herself from the danger he presented: armed gunmen right outside her car window, intimidating her. She attempted to escape what she reasonably perceived was an imminent threat of violence.

And she was right.

Equally disturbing is that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has done nothing but attempt to deceive and manipulate the public with shocking lies—defending and excusing both the agent’s actions and the government’s abhorrent, inhumane behavior of taking an innocent life.

Message to the GOP & Senate:

Why are you still allowing such unqualified, devious, and violent people to run our government? Why haven’t you removed individuals who behave more like thugs than competent professionals—people who continue to harm others through discrimination, violence, and murder?

You have the power to stop this. Why aren’t you protecting us? Do your job—before more blood is on your hands.
